Hydrogeological risk

We work in soil protection with an approach that combines knowledge of the land, decades of experience and advanced technology, in a complex and ever-changing context.

Dealing with hydrogeological instability today means working in a highly complex and ever-changing context. Soil protection is a particularly important and topical issue because of its impact on people, the environment, cultural heritage, infrastructure and the economy.

On top of the natural tendency of mountain areas towards instability, growing human settlement has led to a considerable increase in exposed elements, that is, property and people in areas at risk of landslides and floods. The spread of artificial surfaces and the abandonment of rural areas have left the land unattended and poorly maintained. Climate change is also making intense rainfall events more frequent and, as a result, shallow landslides, debris flows and flash floods. The team at Areaquattro is made up of professionals with different specialisations, led by the decades of experience of its Technical Directors. The way we tackle challenges, big and small, and look to the future of our work is rooted in a few core principles: knowledge, experience, innovation and respect for the environment.
