Analysis and reassessment of the slope surface in the Monte Rosa ski area, to improve snow quality and reduce snowmaking consumption.
The study examined the condition of the slopes, how well the snowpack holds and the efficiency of the snowmaking system, in order to set priorities for the works.
The project
The work started with a detailed survey of the runs and of the operating data from recent seasons. On this basis the critical sections were identified, and reshaping works and improvements to the snowmaking network were proposed.
