2. What data we process
Data sent through the contact form: first name, last name, email address and the text of your message, plus any other information you choose to include.
Browsing data: the systems that run the website record some technical data (for example IP address, date and time of the request, page visited, browser type). It is used only to keep the website working and secure, and not to identify visitors.
Cookies and analytics: the website uses technical cookies and, only with your consent, Google Analytics 4 to measure visits in aggregate form (pages viewed, visit duration, device type, country). See the cookie policy for details.
Project map: only if you choose to open the map, your IP address is sent to the OpenStreetMap Foundation and to Cloudflare (cdnjs), which provide the map and the library used to display it. More details in the cookie policy.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Replying to requests sent through the form or by email: processing is necessary to act on your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Keeping the website working and secure: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Measuring visits to the website with Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of the page.
- Complying with legal obligations or defending a right in court, where necessary (Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data for advertising, newsletters or profiling.
4. How we process it
Form messages reach our mailbox and are stored in the website management system, accessible only to authorised staff. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data from unauthorised access, loss or alteration.
5. Who may receive it
Your data is processed by authorised Areaquattro staff and, only as far as necessary, by the providers who help us run the website and email (hosting, email services, website maintenance), appointed as data processors. We do not disclose or sell it to third parties.
For analytics we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited, appointed as data processor. Google Analytics data may be transferred to the United States to Google LLC, which participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023).
Other data is stored on servers in the European Union. Should a provider process it outside the European Union, the transfer will only take place with the safeguards required by the GDPR (for example adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).
6. How long we keep it
Contact form data is kept for as long as needed to reply and to manage any relationship that follows, and in any case for no more than 24 months after the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise. Browsing data is kept only as long as strictly necessary for website security. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
7. Your rights
At any time you can ask us to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest and receive your data in a readable format (Articles 15-22 GDPR). Just write to info@areaquattro.it.
If you believe the processing breaches data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.
8. Do you have to provide your data?
No, but without your name and email address we cannot reply to a request sent through the form.
9. Changes
We may update this notice. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update.
