Cookie policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. This page explains which cookies are used on the website of Areaquattro S.r.l., the data controller (contact details in the privacy notice).
Technical and analytics cookies
The website uses technical cookies, needed for it to work, which do not require your consent. Only if you accept them, it also uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits in aggregate form (how many people visit the website, which pages, from which type of device). We do not use profiling or advertising cookies, and the fonts are served from our own website, with no connection to external services.
On your first visit the banner asks whether you accept Google Analytics cookies: you can accept or reject them just as easily. Until you choose, Google Analytics is not loaded. Under the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (10 June 2021), your choice is remembered for 6 months; after that the banner appears again.
Which cookies
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| pll_language | Remembers the language you chose (Italian or English). | 1 year |
| aq-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected Google Analytics cookies. It is a technical item in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. | 6 months |
| _ga, _ga_* | Only with your consent. Google Analytics 4 cookies (Google Ireland Limited): they tell visitors apart anonymously to count visits and page views. | 2 years |
| wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* | Only for the people who manage the website and log in to the admin area: they keep the session and preferences. They are never set for visitors. | Until the browser is closed or up to 1 year |
Project map
The project map uses OpenStreetMap and the Leaflet library, served by cdnjs (Cloudflare). It only loads if you click “Show the map”: from then on your browser connects to the OpenStreetMap Foundation and Cloudflare servers, which receive your IP address in order to display the map. These services do not set cookies.
So that you are not asked again every time, your browser remembers your choice with a technical item in local storage (aq-map-ok), which stays until you delete it in your browser settings.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is a service of Google Ireland Limited, which processes the data as our data processor. We have turned off advertising features and data sharing with other Google products; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to the United States, to Google LLC, which participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information in Google's privacy policy.
Links to other websites
The links to LinkedIn are plain links: LinkedIn may only use its own cookies if you open its website, under its own policy.
Managing cookies
You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics cookies are deleted. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block technical cookies the website still works, but it may not remember your language.
Changes
If we add tools that use other cookies in the future (for example embedded videos), we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent.
